GM CORE RETURN PROGRAM
Keep GM Genuine Parts genuine and accessible when you return your cores using the GM Core Return Program. You’ll be reimbursed for your core fee and help keep those parts out of the market under salvage and non-OE brands. Using the GM Core Return Program helps ensure that GM Genuine Parts are used in the remanufacturing process at GM, ensuring that GM can provide high-quality, remanufactured parts and products that meet or exceed GM production standards.
RECYCLING PROTECTS PART INTEGRITY AND DRIVERS
Help your business by recycling aluminum wheels, fascias and lighting assemblies. The GM Core Return Program removes used and damaged parts from the market – which can keep underperforming refurbished or reengineered parts from making their way into your facility or your repairs.
- Engines returned without the engine block and main caps, cylinder heads and cam carrier caps, crankshaft, engine rods and rod caps, and camshaft(s) are considered incomplete and credit will not be given
- Transmissions returned without the torque converter, valve body and output shaft are considered incomplete
- Transfer Cases returned without the encoder motor and case housing are considered incomplete
GM Core Returns must be returned in their original shipping containers or packaging (boxes) and the containers or boxes serve as proof of purchase from GM. Engines must be returned with engine oil drained to prevent a $100 USD deduction penalty (1-quart minimum).
